Plastic Coating for 15 years - A profile of FM Coatings
History
FM Coatings was founded over 15 years ago by Michael and Sharon Ford painting plastic components for the automotive industry.
After starting with one customer and two employees we now have over ten major customers and over 30 employees.
During this period we have applied decorative and functional coatings to plastic components for most of the major OEMs including Nissan, Ford, LandRover, Jaguar, Toyota, Saab, Aston Martin, Lotus.
We have also painted components for a number of white goods manufacturers.
Over the years we have seen significant changes within the plastic painting industry with a focus on more technical advanced paint systems and a variety of finshers. We have developed our process and knowledge to meet these changes, resulting in the move to a new facility in 2007 with a fully automated robotic spray plant.
As well as staying up to date with technical advances, the key to our success is our customer focus and appreciation of the need to be flexible. Part of this flexibility involves giving our customers a complete service from design through to delivery.
